At Belleavina Crown, we believe every strand of hair symbolizes heritage, strength, and beauty. Our name reflects what matters most—family. Belle means “beautiful” in French, and Avina is a heartfelt blend of my children’s names. Crown represents the natural hair that adorns our heads, a source of pride and identity.
Belleavina Crown is more than a brand—it’s a movement dedicated to helping Black and Brown families embrace their natural beauty with safe, reliable, and effective hair and skin care solutions.
A Legacy of Love and Care
Our journey started in 2006, with the birth of my first child, a beautiful prince who came into this world with eczema. The prescribed creams were too harsh, filled with ingredients I couldn’t pronounce. So, I returned to the wisdom of my upbringing—natural, plant-based remedies that had been used for generations in Liberia and America. Within months, his skin transformed, and I knew I had rediscovered something powerful.
In 2019, when I welcomed my daughter, she was born with severe cradle cap. I was determined that she wouldn’t develop the same complicated relationship with her hair that I once had. I didn’t want her to see her hair as something to hide—I wanted her to celebrate it. That was the moment I decided to embrace my own natural beauty, shedding wigs and weaves, and returning once again to the basics. I crafted plant-based products just for her, ensuring that from the age of one, she would experience the love and nourishment her hair deserved.
